Images of an Extraordinary Place…
Founded in 1841, The Walls was originally a school for the boys, girls and infants of Oswestry. The building was designed by Thomas Penson and was financed by public subscriptions with grants also being made by the Committee of Council on Education and The National Society.
In 1993, Geoff & Kate rescued this characterful building from near dereliction. An incredible 13 tonnes of sandblasting grit, 2,000 litres of paint, a mile of fabric and gallons of perspiration transformed it into a stunning venue to eat, drink and make merry!
